NOTES: Recordist's Notes: Young woodpecker, well grown, in nest-hole in saguaro and visits by adults. Several takes. A high level of background noise in parts. Also: Purple Martins, Ash-throated Flycatcher (prob. [I believe so - 0:43-0:44 - CAM]), crickets. Q2 15" LNS: High-pass filter at 100 Hz. [This represents mostly "begging" calls of nestling(s), some much like "Call 2" of adults (following Brenowitz 1978 (Wilson Bull. 90:451-455) and BNA). Some parts also have calls of the parents arriving to feed the young (a series of "Call 1" (3:46-3:52) and examples of "Call 2" (4:41-4:42, 5:03-5:05). Quality 2-1, 2-3 (much wind/cicadas in second, third, and fourth parts), 2, 1-2 (best part is the last one - 6:18-6:37) - CAM - 15 December 2004].
