Observation details
Possibly the continuing Zone-tailed Hawk seen from the Eastern Phoebe area behind E Pond. It's impossible to know precisely how far away this bird was, but it appeared to be above if not beyond the hills to my West, which were over a mile and a half away. I thought it looked promising as a Turkey Vulture-like hawk, but with a somewhat longer tail and perhaps less wobbly in flight. That said, I'm not a very good hawk watcher and could certainly confuse Red-tailed with a Turkey Vulture from that distance without ideal angles and light. After reviewing my photos, I'm leaning toward this not being the bird, but will happily accept any input others may have.
