NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 9. Bulk reel: 143 203 tape. a) ~8:00 AM. Weather: Clear. *More of the calls I'm pretty certain are of this species (cf. Cuts 5 & 6b & c). Quality: 2. Level: +3. Nagra IV & Senn. 405; 36" parabola. b) 6:30 PM. Mountain cloudy. More of same. Quality: 2+. Level: +3. Nagra IV & EV 650; 36" parabola. (One song and some nasal chatter by Scytalopus latabriola; also some other vocalizations.) Quality: 2+. Level: +3. c) 18/X/80. 7:15 AM. High cloudy. Ditto, next AM, natural. Quality: 2 to 1-2. level: +3. Nagra IV & EV 650. The circumstantial evidence continues to suggest that these calls are of this species. Note: At times may give a series of four to seven notes in succession without a break in the series. Also, cf. note made re: Cuts 17 & 13.
