NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 134 Weather: Fair. a) There were several of these birds together with a large group of Pithys albifrons. Of the present cut, I know the more musical, whistled phrases are by G. rufigula. The others may be of P. albifrons. (See also Cut #2 of P. albifrons.) (The squeaks are app. by Pithys albifrons.) Quality: 1-2. Level: 0. b) In this part, the "burry" calls are definitely of P. albifrons. However, G. rufigula does give a burry note that is longer, (lower?) and down-slurred. This must be checked again in the field. 14/IV/68 PAS. Quality: 1. Level: 0.
