NOTES: #5318. Q2 after 3.40. Reflector used. Singing from TV aerial. Recorded early morning. Also heard: cows, generator hum. Used for Phoebe on Vo. 1. Louder after 1.20 and 2.40. [This is essentially the song of the species, including both types of Regularly Repeated Vocalizations (RRVs; see Smith, W. J. 1969. Displays of Sayornis phoebe (Aves, Tyrannidae). Behaviour 33:283-322). Somewhat more than half of the 100 vocalizations represent RRV1s, which typically either alternate with RRV2s or two are given for each RRV2 (16 times); there is one instance in which the bird gave three RRV1s together (0:23-0:32). Quality changed from 3 to 2, 2-1 (BEST after 3:35) - CAM - 14 April 2005].
