Segment A: The pair is heard. Other birds heard in background but rather "quietly." Segment B: In the second segment other birds are more prominent, especially Myrmoborus leucophrys. At end is a voice note re: song "movements." Male has slightly lower voice. Segment C: A continuation but with background birds more "balanced." This is a good "ambient" cut with Dromococcyx phasianellus, Myrmoborus leucophrys, Myrmeciza longipes, pigeons, Galbula galbula. Subspecies information provided by Isler, Isler, and Whitney as part of their study on species limits in the T. punctatus complex (see Isler et al. 1997). ML: The "How Identified" and "Confidence in Identification" values pertain to the recordist's original identification without subspecies name. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Thamnophilus punctatus punctatus to Thamnophilus punctatus punctatus/interpositus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Equipment Notes: [Recordist indicated that he used a parabola but did not specify make/model. Type of microphone used also not specified.].
