NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 13. Bulk reel: 107 Weather: Fair. First, natural song. Quality: 2. Level: 0. Then after playback. Quality: 2. Level: 0. Then some time after more playback. Quality: 1-. Level: 0. Quality: 1. Level: -5. This bird was collected but the skin was subsequently lost to rats. It was a male with some white scattered through black of chin and forehead (therefore sub-adult? or individual variation?). Note: In background can be heard faintly the song of another Sakesphorous canadensis near beginning. However, later are heard the rather similar but slower songs of several Thamnophilus punctatus.
