Observation details
This bird, an alternate-plumaged adult, was very similar in most respects to the accompanying White-faced Ibis, including a moderately long gray, decurved bill, rich chestnut head, neck, and back, bright iridescent green upper wing coverts, and duller, olive green remiges. This bird differed from the White-faced Ibis, however, in having dull grayish legs with no apparent pinkish coloration, no white feathering around the face or eye, dark grayish facial skin (again, no apparent pink coloration) bordered above and below by narrow, powder blue lines, and a dark brown (rather than red) iris.
