Observation details
We were surprised that this bird, originally observed on 3 December, continues. This time we were able to get a good binocular views, photos, and videos. Hooray for aphids! This bird spent most of its time feasting on aphids on the roses attached to the west side of our house. Similar to our last encounter, we heard this bird first and recognized what it was. Chimp Chimp. Small yellowish warbler. Tail nearly always cocked. Entirely dark undertail. There was no white in the outer tail feathers like a Hooded Warbler would show. We wonder how long it will stick around! This is the only winter record ever recorded in the Eastern Sierra, according to eBird.
