Observation details
***MEGA; first found as I was walking back to my tent (without binoculars) and saw the bird perched on top of a bush along the trail; I sprinted back to the kitchen/main tent to grab binoculars and camera and alert the others. Very obviously this species, and an adult male (extremely long tail) of the savana subspecies (with three strongly emarginate outer primaries visible in flight photos). Many photos taken as the bird moved around near the camp, almost always in view atop various bushes but occasionally dropped lower and out of sight (relocated a few times in small clearings on the east side of the island). Closer to dusk the bird moved towards the southwest edge of the pond near the boat landing; last seen around 1830
