NOTES: (Cover Den: Med; Season: Winter; Cassette) Bird came in in response to playback- 4ft. off ground. Called with head and tail quivering. It seemed fearless - these are usually much harder to see. All Venezuelean recordings after, and including this, are of speed slightly due to fall when tape recorder was dropped. Davis Finch Subspecies information provided by Isler, Isler, Whitney, and Zimmer as part of their study on species limits in the Schistocichla complex of Percnostola antbirds (see Isler et al. 2007).
