Observation details
We saw none yesterday or today in the flock nearest the road, but today when we went deeper into the rice fields, we found another couple of large flocks with a combined total of roughly 60 males. At the distance these birds were observed, and with the overwhelming mass of densely packed Blue-winged Teal to sort through, it was nearly impossible to find females. I did clearly identify one female at the front of the flock, and I suspect there were as many females as males. A staggering number of Green-wings for Belize! Photographed.
