NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 9. Bulk reel: 82. 12/X/70. 2350 hours. "Song": the phrases seem somewhat shorter than birds in central region. Also heard "wing knocks" but did not succeed in recording this. Quality: 2-3. Level: +3. 203 tape. Low noise. 13/X/70. 12:55 AM. Then more song, later; possibly by two different birds. Quality: 2-. Level: +3. 203 tape. LN. Note: At 1:30 AM I heard a wing-whir display, presumably by this species. Note: Caprimulgal activity suggests possible nesting, which seems strange for this time of year in relation to central birds.
