Observation details
Got mediocre, but diagnostic, ID Photos of the previously-reported male Ruby-throated Hummingbird on the Paton's fence. I observed an archilochus hummingbird that looked a lot like a male black-chinned hummingbird, except that the throat was vivid ruby red, contrasting with white chest. In addition, the chin was blackish (vs. BTHU). My photos showed that the tail extended well past the wingtips of the folded wing.
