Observation details
Female. Very clear look at completely white throat and white nape. White barring on back seemed to be less orderly than in red-naped. - UPDATE: This observation was initially accepted as a yellow-bellied sapsucker, but an expert in 2020 suggested that the back pattern was inconsistent with that species, and this was more likely a hybrid or a worn red-naped female.
