Observation details
Tips of primaries extending beyond the tail. Larger than adjacent Semipalmated Sandpipers. Slightly decurved bill and small orange/red base of lower mandible seen first in flight. Distinct streaking on head, throat, and down sides below folded wing. Distinct white rump shown when fluffing feathers and flying.
