NOTES: FIRST A TYPICAL CALL OF A PAURAQUE THEN A LONG SERIES OF CROAKS OR GRUNTS THEN THE TYPICAL CALLS RESUMED. I NEVER SAW A PAURAQUE UTTERING THE CROAKS OR GRUNTING NOTES RECORDED HERE BUT I HAVE EVERY REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE PART OF THE 1 MALE(S)VOCAL REPERTOIRE. I HEARD THESE NOTES ONLY FROM TREES OR BUSHES WHERE PAURAQUES HAD BEEN SINGING AND I NEVER HEARD THEM WHILE A PAURAQUE WAS SINGING. OFTEN A PAURAQUE STOPPED CALLING THE CROAKS BEGAN LATER STOPPED AND THE TYPICAL CALLS BEGAN AGAIN. Habitat: Creek.
