This was the third time the bird responded to playback (both "ki-ki-kerr" calls and growls). Here the bird can be heard giving four single introductory notes, followed by two "ki-ki-kerr" calls. Note that the volume will likely need to be turned up high in order to clearly hear the bird. Common Nighthawk(s) and a Common Yellowthroat can also be heard during this recording.

Observation details

CLR obtained a rather poor audio recording with his iPhone. Responded to playback on three separate occasions by calling and growling.
