NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 8. Bulk reel: 18 139 tape. At beginning is a bother "squawk" of Ara chloroptera [chloropterus] being chased by an orpendula and Stuart Kieth's exclamation about it. Quality: 1. Level: +5. Then hear the "alarm laugh" of the Falcons. Quality: 1-2. Level: +5. The pair appeared to have a nest in the immediate area. (Many other birds heard, too, especially parrots.) Quality: 1. Level: +5. Then other bother sounds by falcons. Quality: 1-2. Level: +10. Then part of a "duet" changing focus from one bird to the other, thus showing that each very definitely sings a different song. Quality: 1. Level: 0. Note - Pair heard in duet song ~ 0630 hr near Main Camp at Rio Grande (El Palmar), cloudy, 9/4/68. PS. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm.
