Observation details
****MEGA | Second state record, and presumably same bird that was found off the coast of Maine last year. Mixed with RAZO and ATPU along eastern shore. Upon arriving at the island, I quickly spotted this bird. A small stocky murrelet, gray backed, darker contrasting wings, and white below. Head was mostly black with white line extending back to nape and continuing around to connect with the opposite side eye. Very petite, stout, pale bill; almost a pale tan in color. Eye appeared dark.
