NOTES: (Time: 1310-1525. Breeding Status: Territorial, breeding. Gen. Climate: Wet.) These soft sounds came from the Cuckoo-shrike. These (with bad motorboating in background) are the soft calls heard between the male and female likely direct mate contact. Female "kek" call heard and the sequence is annotated. The fifth interaction of the day with H. borbonicus is heard ("Merles" local name for the bulbul) and the zip/rip hiss (see LNS 58684, 58685, 58688). Clear calls of the nestlings heard at end of cut. Male/female contact ends cut. Habitat: Cloudforest, Montane Grassland.
