Media notes
King Rail on the trail at Black Marsh
Observation details
The rail was 30 yards down the trail after the overflow. It started to cross the path in front of me and then seemed to be curious about the camera noise and stopped for a 3-4 minute look. It the disappeared into the brush. I stood checking my photos in the camera when it walked out onto the trail again. Again it seemed to be curious about me but then turned and slowly walked up to the overflow where it disappeared into the reeds on the outflow side. I watched the bird for a total of almost 7 minutes and took over 100 photos.
