Observation details
I first heard the bird quite clearly, unlike numerous nearby Warbling Vireos it featured very short (just 2 or 3 note) burry slurred phrases separated by long pauses. Song also separated from Purple Finch vireo-like call by being fewer notes, much more simple, more burry in sections. I managed to get a pretty good recording (attached). Also, though I couldn't manage a photo, I did get a good quick look at the bird as it sang, bold white spectacles were quite obvious. I wonder if this will be a breeding location this season? The bird was along a lower section of Hamms Gulch Trail at GPS: 37.364013, -122.221872
