Observation details
(Rare): “infrequent”: seen well , and singing magnificently, made recordings. Colby photoed. In center thicket willows (42.26422, -118.67402)— Nonstop singing for 18-min. Then after a min. begins again. — Apparently was heard at about same time (just before 9:28am) by Caleb and Colby from different areas of oasis, wondering if someone was playing a tape. This is such a “so loud and obvious” song, “it sounds like it would be the recording of a warbler on an app.” — also sounded to Courtney when entering oasis like a tape! so loud! — great bird! — “I’m trying to remember: do they normally sound so much like a pissed-off CBCH?” — “No.” — — note: this is we think our 4th spring spring here at Malheur together the three of us? and this is the first rareish bird that Colby has ever had at Fields! only other was a GRCA.
