Observation details
Kenn Kaufman: "This is a young Forster's Tern, either one year old or two years old. Bill shape is enough to rule out Common. The darkness on the upperside of the primaries at this time of year indicates that it's not a full adult (and makes it harder to tell from Common at a long distance). Both Forster's and Common are present in the area now, so it's a good time to practice the ID."
