Observation details
Singing male along the drainage about 50ft North of barrel 5.0 (South of the entrance). Hanging mostly in lower shrubbery, but occasionally hopped up into Cottonwoods and Elms to forage. Observed for a few minutes, then it disappeared off to the North. First detected by song, two harsh buzzy notes, then, with some pishing, seen; dark slaty indigo upperparts, black face and throat with some black spilling down the sides, and bright white underparts. White spots in primaries and shoulders. Photos.
