Comments

Possibly a family group keeping contact. Bird is invariably alone and remains in one perch usually within, or just below, the canopy for the long periods (about 10-25 minutes) while calling. Aside from continued alert movements (turning and twisting the head) the bird does not move much. I have never heard answers from other jays with the same notes.
