Media notes
A flight of at least 10 Dowitchers flew right over my head while I was lightening up my layers of clothes at the car parked at the office. I captured six in the original photo, but cropped out one bird. Photo taken with Canon Rebel XT with 300mm lens. I can't for sure know if these are the Dowitchers that I saw about 1.5 hours before, but about an hour later I re-examined the pond where I found the Dowitchers earlier weren't there. The bellies on all the birds seem colored orange-ish, so I believe that it is safe to call these eclipsing Long-billed Dowitchers.
