White-rumped Sandpiper - 4 May 2017 - Litle Road Fluddle, Parma Township, Jackson County, MI
Observation details
Initially IDed by Thomas Gass - small shorebird, smaller than nearby Pectoral Sandpipers. distinct from Pectorals by size, paler breast, dark bill and dark legs. Folded primaries were long, lightly spotted chest with chevrons along the side and down flanks. When preening, all white rump was visible.
