Observation details
Initially grossly underestimated at 300. I counted again off a photo, using a clicker, and got exactly 400 (+/- a few), then tacked on another estimated 30 for birds off-frame. This is, by far, the largest number I've ever seen on the ground/water at the Farm Park. They're usually just flyovers at this location, or present in single-digit numbers, mixed in with Canada Geese. They all took off at 8:35am, seemingly without provocation, so I assume they were just moving on or going to look for food. While I kept my distance and only had binoculars, nothing stood out as "small"/ROGO candidate. One bird had a yellow neck collar with the number "T9", and maybe one more digit. At least 2 blue geese were present.
