NOTES: (Time: 1400-1500. Breeding Status: Territorial, breeding.Gen. Climate: Arid, cyclic wet-dry. Gen. Habitat: Bushed wooded grassland. Cover Density: Sparse, medium, thick.) Initial song played back evoked the second song form response, i.e. response with different song but both songs were heard each day before we either recorded or played back, and he continued to sing without playback. Both were used by the same male on many occasions at different times of day but just in the wet season. Field annotations are included. We did see it clearly later for the identification.. Playback is always indicated and is used very sparingly to try and establish exactly the change within the two song types. There were very many individuals singing/breeding this year. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise.
