NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial, likely breeding. Gen. Climate: Arid, cyclic wet-dry. Gen. Habitat: Bushed wooded grassland. Cover Density: Sparse, medium, thick.) They called in distance first, then responded to playback. The field notes that refer to the recording are in L.L. Short's field notebook/journal for that date. He was able to see them clearly. I was not able to do so as we were apart, working.
