Media notes
This checklist is to document unusual, variable singing by an Eastern Towhee during morning chorus. This bird has been singing on location for several mornings in a row. First the "Drink-your-tea" is sung normal, then it is repeated downslurred and musical. Afterwards note especially the transition at 4 minutes 50 seconds - from a typical "Drink-your-teeee" to a "Drink-your-tea-tea-churrr". This pattern is sung following a normal song, then by itself, then again following normal song. Dominant background species: Amereican Robin, Song Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow. Recorded using a cell phone in .m4a format.
