Observation details
3 flushed along Stream Reach #4; 2 from a short distance above the diversion dam. Found feather remains from one killed under an alder in the upper stream reaches; it was medium-sized, larger than a robin but much smaller than a mallard (judging from flight feathers), and apparently relatively fresh (feathers didn't appear dull or dirty). Wing feathers closely match size and patterning of GRAP based on The Feather Atlas (USFWS, online). See picture.
