Observation details
Two of a few birds continuing at this location. They were small, all-dark cormorants perched with a few Double-crested Cormorants in a dead tree on an island in the lake. First picked out by their considerably smaller sizes, being perhaps two-thirds the size of the nearby DCCO. After that, other details became obvious, including tail length (similar to the tail length of the DCCO, contrasting their smaller bodies to create a long-tailed look), the acute gular, and the dark lores.
