Observation details
11:35 We were very lucky to have A. Peter Burleigh observe 1 Himalayan Snowcock cross the road on the Western Slope of ChangLa Pass. Subsequently, we were able to observe a flock of at least 12 individual birds as they scurried down the slope for cover while calling each other. The actual count varied between the observers, but we erred on the conservative side by settling on the lowest count of 12. Photo taken by Piper Weldy of 7 (1 in the center has only the head showing and part of flank showing and 1 at 7 o'clock only head showing) of the flock of individuals observed is attached.
