Media notes
A male juvenile Pileated Woodpecker begging and being fed by an adult male at a suet feeder. The rapid series of low-pitched calls is when feeding is actually occurring. At the end of the cut, the juvenile PIWO tried to chase off a Red-bellied Woodpecker. Possibly the same adult male as in previous recordings, but there are two juvenile males and two juvenile females coming to the feeders. It is impossible to tell the young apart. Other Behaviors: Beg. Equipment Notes: Recorder's HPF on (80Hz, -18dB/octave). Elevation: 176 m.
