Observation details
Central Beach, between the Salmon River and Good River, with about 50 Canada Geese. Tiny, very white goose with a small bill. Gray base of bill. These geese flew from the beach grasses to the open beach and tucked their bills to rest. I set up my scope and waited for about 30 minutes for them to move so that I could see the bill on the Ross's Goose. While waiting, three Horned Larks flew in calling and landed briefly before continuing west into the wind. Third local record for Ross's Goose with one in the spring of 2013 and one in the spring of 2015.
