NOTES: (Sound: Frequent. General Climate: Arid. Cov. Density: Med.) Jeff Kingery [The calls at the beginning of this recording appear to be comparable to the "tik" or "tik-k" notes given by Amazilia yucatanensis, but I cannot be certain that all of the vocalizations here (i.e., the chase calls in the background at 0:12-0:18 and the loud "chi-dic" at 0:23) were given by this species. The chase notes sound much like those of a Selasphorus, though I cannot say that an Amazilia would not make similar calls. Quality added (2-3) - CAM - 22 April 2005]. Habitat: Thicket/Brush, Scrub.
