Female does most of the calling, most often during an aggressive encounter. The male approaches the female, often sniffing the anal area. The female goes into a bipedal or tripedal stance and holds on eor both forefeet between her and the male and gapes her mouth. If the male continues forward or persists, she barks and continues holding hiim off with her forefeet.
