Observation details

initially seen perched in the open. as Gary was getting his scope on the owl, it dove toward the ground near us. it then sat in the grass, looking at its feet. it didn’t appear to have caught anything, yet hopped around on the ground and chewed on some leaves for a while. owls are dumb.
