Observation details
Upon arrival via chopper we immediately started hearing an EAPH. Not long later it was spotted flying around and even into one of the buildings. Medium-sized flycathcher, grayish-brown head and back, lighter gray breast and belly with slighter darker flanks. Constant tail-wagging. Sang often (fee-bee), but mostly after midnight. This bird continued into the third week of July (around the same time as the mosquito die-off). Song recordings were taken and sent to ANWR office in Fairbanks.
