NOTES: (Behav. context: Annoyance? Alarm? Distress?)This beetle was moving along the edge of Trial 2. The beetle emitted this sound when harassed with a stick or picked up. The underside of the thorax was covered with small pink or flesh-colored insects, or larval insects, or mites hitching a ride. Beetle was in terre firme forest. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
