Observation details
Seriously. It was a woodcock explosion. But there is one less, maybe two less. I thought I saw a Cooper's Hawk standing on a rock. I was wrong. And a red-tail dining on something. Gotta eat. All except 4, which I spotted as flyovers over Hammonasset north, were located along the entrance road, both sides and in the medium. A total of 20 were all standing in one spot just inside the campground before the toll booths. Another 9 were in one spot near the rotary. The balance were scattered along the entrance road. One can only wonder how many more there were in the park.
