Observation details

This is a life bird of sorts. I saw one years ago on a service call in Amelia. The bird was so distinctive I was easily able to find it in a field guide I sometimes looked through for the heck of it. This time I knew what it was when I spotted them. Unique birds. They don't seem to fly as much but float effortlessly on the air. You might think they never come down to the earth.
