Observation details
Two seen together and first found and reported this morning. Unmistakable ducks with rich cinnamon/rufous head, neck, breast. Dark horizontal banding on the back and characteristic white plumes on the flanks. Blue-gray bill. One bird vocalized once, giving a characteristic Dendrocygna raspy whistle. A first Bernalillo County record.
