NOTES: Tail red. Not as dark as the sinnosa from Valdez. This bird responded very quickly to the song from the Valdez bird. It picked up dead leaves and moss as it chirped around during the time we were playing the Valdez song to him. This bird came within about 5 feet of the parabola during the height of excitement when we first played the song to him. Fox sparrow #1.; Background sounds: normal city sounds; Purpose of singing: singing in defense of nesting territory; Behavior accompanying vocalization: perched.; Song #1: #1,4,6,11,13,15,18; Song #2: #2,5,7,8,9,10,14,16,17, #3,12;.
