Observation details
Continuing; 0955 hrs; mauka side of wetland (NE area) in low freshwater vegetation. Brownish-gray plumage with white spots, medium (head) length thin dark pointed bill, thick white supercilium, yellowish-green legs and feet. Brownish streaked breast (similar faded breast to Sharp-tailed Sandpiper). Shortish tail. Longish legs. Partial whitish eye ring. White rump. All white undersides (belly and undertail). Actively fed (similar to WATA) in shallow water and thick vegetation up to its belly. Frequently walked with upright posture and similar height as it stood next to LBDO. Initial impression reminded me of a smaller version of a Solitary Sandpiper/Lesser Yellowlegs
