Observation details
First reported in Cocagne yesterday morning by Pierrette Bourque. Bird was seen early this morning but absent most of the day until it was re-found by Marc Leblanc across the water from the Rotary Park around 2:45PM, where it stayed for a while before flying south - it was found again in this checklist's location shortly thereafter by Lois Budd. It perched for a short while across the road in a residential lawn and was seen by many before flying back northwards at 3:33PM - probably to find a more stable perch! Unmistakable bird; large, dark eagle with white shoulders, tail, and leg feathers; white patch of feathers on forehead above massive yellow bill. Thanks to all who have helped locate the bird and your generosity in helping others see it!
