Observation details
Photos. Pale Red-tailed Hawk (underparts) with white tail, slightly rusty near terminal and thin dark terminal band. Dark white "commas" near base of primaries on underside of wings. Faint dark smudge on the patagials. Dark trailing edge to the secondaries. Dark face and whitish supercilium. In the company of another Red-tailed. Initial thought from a distance was possible Ferruginous, but alas. First one I've encountered in Galveston Co. Flying over Hwy 108 adjacent Horseshoe Marsh.
